Puget Sound Starts Here

Back in the Spring, I sat down with the creative team from EnviroMedia along with my friends at Loaded Pictures and we hashed out a plan to make a series of short films for the launch of a new website for the Puget Sound Partnership – Puget Sound Starts Here.  Not your typical educational web destination, rather this new site would be about information, beautiful imagery and compelling content.  The first piece I did was about oysters.  Following the path of oysters from sea to table.  This was a great chance to hang out with some interesting folks and learn something new, especially from Tom Framer.  Yeah, he’s the oyster farmer.  What a great guy.  The second piece was about Laura James, an underwater filmmaker and activist.  She’s an inspiring person with loads of energy.  She’s in the water all the time and never misses a chance to jump in, learn, explore and show people what they’re missing.  The third piece was Life on the Ferry – a look at past events that have taken place on the Washington State Ferries.  I interviewed lots of folks to get these great stories along with the help of co-director John Hilton.  This was a great project and fun to explore some new topics and meet new people in and around Puget Sound.
